Notes:

devilish affair is a dance floor focused house & techno label infused with dub and technoid tones. The music is decorated visually by Brooklyn based photographer Philiip Warp who captures a nocturnal New York City.

The “Adventures EP” kicks things off with a proper 180 gram vinyl only release by label founder Eric Louis (Nervous Records, Get Physical, Victor Calderone’s Matter+).

“Spark” opens things up with rolling sub-bass for that dance-floor drive, modulated chord play and a high octave stab for a positive feeling you can get lost in.

“AM Dubs” brings in some NY sound with jacking percussion, blips, & chords sure to rock sophisticated crowds.

Things get deep and moody on the other side.

“No Space” cruising through the ether with driving low end, layered effects, atmospheres, classic techno claps and ride cymbals.  Written during the  peak of 2020 lockdowns knowing there would once again be a time when  “no space” would exist between us.

“Newark Penn” is about the pre-WW2 train station of the same name in Newark, NJ. Corporate robots, the homeless, and weekend revelers flow in and out.  Swaying sub bass, dub chords capture the mood which is along with field recordings of back ground noise and street chatter.

Early support from TM Shuffle of Vuo Records.
