Notes:
Dan Formless is at the controls for Bank of Switches’ second twelve inch. This deep, dubby affair features trippy squiggles, wiggles and a bubbly bassline that straddles the gap between minimal and techy. “Fried All Day'' is bound to do some damage on the early hours dancefloor. Backed up with a stomping remix by Dogmatik and Modern Explorer boss and Cerca Trova resident Alex Arnout, this record is certainly one for those who know.
An avid collector of music gear with a penchant for vintage units, Dan Formless has scoured the globe collecting rare studio machinery in a quest to create unique sounds. His travels have added further layers to an already rich canvas, painted by DJ exploits across major cities in Europe and Asia, alongside residencies in London nightclubs.
Before focusing on music production Dan was a founder of the highly influential Hoxton FM and continues to make waves with his Forward Movement brand, that focuses on providing livestream services through a creative networks of hybrid studios.
As “Fried All Day” shows, Dan has dedicated the last few years to creative process liberation whilst experimenting with his drum machines, synthesisers, and effects. He is now sharing the results of these sonic explorations, delving into the deeper sides of house, techno and electro whilst staying true to his dubby minimal roots. His own label, Saboteurs Sanctuary is all set to make even more waves in the near future.
